My 50 Course UK bucket list (and a bit about me...)
My First Blog Post... Partly for my own benefit, to document what I have been up to and create a way of remembering my experiences, I have decided to create this blog to write a bit about each golf course as I play it. Before I run through the list, I thought it might be a good idea to give a bit of an overview of my background in golf. I grew up as a junior playing Silverstone GC (Northamptonshire) which was a magical time for many of us, with 7 or 8 of us getting down lower than 6, able to practice for days at a time as our parents would drop us off on the way to work and pick us up on the way home. After this, I went off to university in Bournemouth where my game (predictably) dropped off for a few years before playing in the golf team in my final year. 3 more years at Silverstone followed before moving down to Woking and joining West Hill - where I have learned a lot about my game and the importance of keeping the ball in play, where I remain a true 6 handicap which seem...
